Social Responsibility

The Domino Foundation

Our learners participate in the ‘Beat The Hunger’ Programme. Learners help prepare 50 peanut butter sandwiches, every week. Learners also donate bread and peanut butter towards this initiative.

St Martin’s Children’s Home

We host an annual Superhero Day in support of the St Martin’s “Everyday Hero” Campaign. Learners and staff dress up as their favourite superheroes for the day. All proceeds is given directly to St Martin’s Children’s Home.

The Sweetheart Foundation

We have partnered with The Sweetheart Foundation to raise awareness about the importance of recycling. Learners are encouraged to get their family and communities involved in collecting plastic bottle tops and bread tags. St Barnabas is a Tops and Tags Collection Point. The

Sweetheart Foundation uses the proceeds from recycling the Tops and Tags towards getting a wheelchair for someone in need.

TAFTA

We host a Grandparents Day celebration for the residents at a T.A.F.T.A Home. Learners are involved in making goodie bags, with toiletries and a treat, for each person and planning the activities for the event.

SPCA

Learners collect pet food, blankets and toys for the fur babies at the Durban and Coast SPCA in Springfield.
